I joined a quilt swap over at Janes Fabrics and Quilts. I'll be in the second group of swappers. Each person picks a color from above and makes 9 12.5 inch squares of any quilt block she wants. I picked the shoofly block (looks like the one pictured but mine will be purple and white).... mostly because it is a simple block and I want them to be perfect for my first swap. As it turns out, Jane lives in St. Charles...just a few towns south of me. I'm looking forward to meeting her as I'll probably just bring my finished blocks to her house instead of mailing them. Click over to her blog and check out her new grandbaby.....oh and her quilting stuff too! (Hhhhmmmm, this might be a good quilt for mom and Penny;) Its called a Rainbow quilt. Watch out my sweet hens, you might end up getting it for xmas!
Hey Kathleen and Cara, we need 2 more swappers to finsh this quilt....wanna join in the fun?

YES! I've been looking for one. I just signed up. Now we need a round robin.
yay!I'm so excited! Whats a round robin?
You make a center block. You pass you block to someone who is "playing" and they add a border that they think goes with your block. Your quilt is then passed to another person who adds another border. Then another person, another border. Then back to you. You finish your quilt. In the meantime you are getting other quilts one at a time so you can add borders. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?!
My allergies have me feeling very 'bad' this week, so nothing sounds good to me. I'm still finishing the Clutter Bug for the parade Saturday. It may always be a WIP. The house quilt is my first and I think I'ss stay with that for now. Thanks for asking, though - it's always nice to be thought of!
