Bart's Farm

My brother keeps a hen and a miniature horse in his garage. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Eric's Quilt

Eric was the lucky recipient of a quilt this Christmas (quilted awesomely by Kathleen....thanks aunt!) He wanted a sort of army greenish color so I went straight to the thrift store and bought 6 soft cotton mens shirts for $1.00 each and cut 'em up. There are 2 shirt pockets on the quilt...for the remote, of course! It's a simple quilt but I think it turned out great. The day after Christmas, he sent me this text : "I'm snugglin' with my quilt watching da Bears game. I love my quilt...thank u!" You are so welcome, my boy!

Debbie's Holiday Party

A grand time was had by all last night at Nirvana's restaurant in Vernon Hills. Debbie was an excellent hostess to all of these wonderful home birth assistants/CPM's/CNM's/RN's. We all even got awards! Thanks, Deb. We had a wonderful time.

Etsy - Premade Scrapbooks

I posted a few more things to my Etsy site.
These are some premade scrapbooks I made a while back when I was a HUGE scrapbooker.....before Aunt Kathleen plunged me into the world of quilting.

KATHLEEN!! Happy Birthday!!!!

WORST. NIECE. EVER. Not to mention daughter. My dad and Kathleen share a birthday which is on the 16th of December. You would THINK I would remember this. But NOOOOOOOOOOO. I didn't call OR blog either of them. VERY BAD. Oh what the hell am I saying.....I can't even wear matching shoes to work let alone remember birthdays ;)

Love you, Auntie! Hope you had a great day!

These are the shoes......

.....I wore to work yesterday.

I have another pair just like them.

They sat by the back door of a birthing mama's home all day, so I didn't realize it 'til I went to put them on to go home. Gramma noticed, tho. She said she had been looking at my feet all day wondering if I had a condition or something where I had to wear 2 different shoes.

Oh, I got a condition alright...it just doesn't have anything to do with my feet.

These Three....

....fill my heart with love.

Birthday Love for Grampa Bart

We went out for my dad's 70th birthday Saturday night. A fine time was had by all. The cards the girls made dad were very sweet.

Special post for my friend Lois

Here's a little tip for you, Lois. Get a foot that looks like this one in the pic. Its an open-toed embroidery foot and it makes seeing a whole lot easier. And curves.....easy as pie. I actually have had this foot for a while, but just started using it and its
AAWWWEESSSOOOMMEEEE  ;)

.....and to make you drool......here's a pic of my thread;)

I need more.

Oh, and one more tip....never, EVER, eat yellow snow. Have a nice day.
