A new era (and shop) for Decorative Industries

Eric got a new toy.

This shop is so much brighter and cleaner and the floors aren't falling in and it smells nicer then the old one.

On second thought, they don't look like they are working very hard, they actually look like they stayed up too late watching the Bears game last night:)

Eric's Quilt

Eric was the lucky recipient of a quilt this Christmas (quilted awesomely by Kathleen....thanks aunt!) He wanted a sort of army greenish color so I went straight to the thrift store and bought 6 soft cotton mens shirts for $1.00 each and cut 'em up. There are 2 shirt pockets on the quilt...for the remote, of course! It's a simple quilt but I think it turned out great. The day after Christmas, he sent me this text : "I'm snugglin' with my quilt watching da Bears game. I love my quilt...thank u!" You are so welcome, my boy!

ERIC GOT A CAR!!!!!!

Chuck went out with him yesterday and they bought a car. HUGE THANK YOU to my AWESOME husband for helping him get the job done.

This is Danny and his girlfriend Jessica's little boy, Kyle. Aren't they sweet? I got a question, tho......does this make me a Gramma-in-training? I've been having fun practicing when he comes over to visit.

The Evergreen Park House

I was on the south side last week helping a mom have her baby and decided to drive place the house I raised the boys in. It looks pretty much the same...a little less shabby then how we left it. I was happy to see all the flowers and greenery I planted in the front were still there.

A Little Birdie has flown home....

....and his name is Danny. Dan wants to save some money so he can buy a house. Chuck and I have invited him to stay with us for awhile. I'm glad to have my empyt nest a bit fuller these days. Chirp Chirp.

On another note, I'm off to Missouri with Henry and his sisters and pregnant mom. The drive there is about 10 hours (SEND HELP). I'll be flying home on Sunday. They'll be staying there for the next week and a half so I'll have some recovery time when I get home.
