Square Foot Gardening

 This could also be titled, "My Husband has lost his Freaking mind." He does not know how to do anything small. It's always GO BIG or do nothing at all. There are 6 beds measuring 4 feet by 5 feet plus a row of beds along the fence and in between each big bed. They are marked off into 1 foot squares. Each square can hold up to 6 plants depending on what it is.....allegedly. Tomatoes get their own squares, but spinach gets 9 plants for one square. 2 cukes gets 1 square...I don't know how that is possible....they spread all over the place. I really think its going to LOOK LIKE A FREAKING JUNGLE by August. Any way, Chuck swears he has it all under control. We shall see.

Chuck is pretty awesome, so it just may work ;)

After he got it all put together, he said, "Hmmm...there seems to be a lot of leftover parts..." This cannot be good. On a more positive note, we grilled that same night and the burgers were yummy! I heart my Rocket Scientist.

Oh, we're ready.....

....for the 'significant snow event' coming our way today. Yesterday I heard them calling for up to a foot of snow.....then maybe 3 inches of snow....then maybe 10 inches of snow....today their saying 2-3 inches.Who knows. I think the weather folks just like to cover all their bases so they can say, "....see, I said 10 inches, or 2 inches or 3 inches." Aaaannnyyywwwaayyyy......I woke up to the sight of this this morning. Chuck made a trip to Sam's last night....I think he wanted to cover our bases food-wise just in case we get snowed in.

....I hope we have enough eggs......

Chuck likes to shop at Sam's. It makes him happy to bring home lots of big food items. It makes me happy that I don't have to grocery shop as much as I used to. Here's his list along with his calculations (MUST stick to budget) from yesterday's Sam's run.

Laptop, anyone?

Chuck has started a laptop repair business. He's buying broken laptops for cheap on ebay and craigslist, repairing them and then reselling them. He's already fixed 3 of them. Bubba is his loyal assistant.I love my computer geek.

I am grateful....for My smooth(ie) man.

Chuck makes us a yogurt and fruit smoothie almost every morning....they're really yummy.

Well, Chuck got crazy this weekend and bought a new vehicle. His van was about on its last leg, so he bought his dream truck. Its a Dodge Sprinter. Its very big.He's very, very happy....also, our driveway is very very full.
