....whatever I ironed last left some grunge on my iron
which I was fully unaware of....until I started ironing this pristine dolly blanket. I then became quite aware and I may said some swear words. Hopefully it will come out with a heavy dose of 'spray and wash'. Stay tuned.

Thank goodness...it came out in the wash! Thanks for all your suggestions and comments....I especially liked the banana leaf idea...thanks, Aida! That was a new one to me....now where the heck would I find a banana leaf? Maybe I could try a banana peel? Hmmmm...

Good luck cleaning the dolly blanket, which by the way is SO cute. Try ironing a used dryer sheet with your iron... it's supposed to take the gunk off.
hai.. in Malaysia we use a banana leaf and iron on the topside of the leaf ..it will clean yr iron surface ..
I keep iron off on hand just for this reason. I'm known for ironing on the wrong side of fusible interfacing, lol! I also keep a bottle of resolve on hand. I've had a lot of luck getting funky spots out of fabric with resolve. Good luck!
oh me-oh-my-oh-me-oh-my!!!! My husband fusses at me because I say "crap" alot, too....among other words when things like this happen to me. Hope it comes out!!!
