Tutorial and Update (especially for Jenn) for enlarging patterns.....my way.

I think it looks great! You are very brave - I have often wanted to make a block design very large but didn't really know how to go about it without hours of trial and error...what's your secret?


Well, Jenn, I'll be happy to share my secret. It actually was really easy.First, I printed out the Indian Star block from Quilters Cache. Second, I got out my graph paper and drew the block out. The graph paper helps immensely as each little square on the paper can equal any amount you want. I equaled each square to 1 inch each. Here's a pic of what I drew.





You should try it. Its fun! I love the coloring part. You can get an idea of what its going to look like. Oh and BTW, thanks for saying I was very brave! Such a lovely compliment!

Update:

.....and here's the finished block. I think it turned out really nice....now for some borders...
