Whole cloth painting and quilting

Well, I gotta say I'm not thrilled with the results.....but, I'm a work in progress;) I like it enough to show it on the blog, I guess....
I'm planning on cutting off the border...'cause it looks like crap.....and maybe stretching it onto canvas? I don't know. Maybe I'll put it in a frame?....or, most likely it will sit in the pile of WIPs I have all over my room.
I'm going to try this process again. I want to paint purple coneflowers next.

oh,and btw....Gentle criticism accepted ;)

You are way too critical. I think it is really cool. Why can't it be a center of a quilt?

....thats actually a good idea, aunt. I could sew some nice borders on it.....a bird is always nice, too......:)

Col's right. Too critical, it IS cool and yes, center of a quilt is a good idea. Is Col thinking like a quilter?!

I really was expecting a bird.... oh well, maybe on your PQ piece.

When you thread paint do you have the whole sandwich together (no, not the PB & J) or do you use stabilizer and thread paint, then sandwich?

Why can't there be some easy, fast way to border our projects that looks fantastic... why?!?!?!?!?!

Bwahahahaahahah@ Anonymous... I swear it wasn't me.

I agree with the previous. You are way to critical. Each piece is a journey and growth of skill. It would make a lovely center medallion/focal point for a quilt.

I'm looking forward to seeing the coneflower. I know it's going to be awesome!
