I made a Star Wars quilt for Jack for his birthday. Of course, I decided I wanted to make it 3 days ago thinking I'd have plenty of time. Well, the party was yesterday at 330p and I finished at around 215p. This quilt was made out of a set of sheets purchased from Walmart. I cut apart the flat sheet and the pillow case, added some fabric from my stash, and this is what the end result was. I'd planned on not cutting up the fitted sheet that came with the set so he could have that for his bed. I hope he likes it. He didn't have a lot of time to admire any of his gifts as presents from family and friends were flying at him left and right. Lucky, lucky boy! I'm going to go over and see him today and get some more pics. I 'wrote' his name in about 10 different places on the quilt so its kind of an I-spy quilt. I also wrote a little message on the border so that he would always know the force would be with him and that Auntie loves him very much! The writing and the quilting is a little shaky, but I love how it turned out.

That is so cool! I'm not a Star Wars fan, but I still think it's awesome! What a great idea to use store sheets & I love the writing on it :) AWESOME.
I do that too - quilt notes in the quilts for my niece and nephews.
Happy Birthday Jack. I think the force was with Auntie Karen as she worked so hard to complete the quilt on time! Nice job NaNa
