....have become this.

...with a sneak peak up in the right-hand corner of what I've been working on. I don't know why, but I just love 9-square blocks. Maybe because it was the first block Aunt Kathleen taught me to make (almost one year ago, now!) or maybe because they're so crisp looking or maybe because they're so easy to make and are so very traditional. Probably all those reasons and more. The quilts made from these oxford shirts are going to be so soft and cuddly...maybe for baby quilts?

I love 9 patch quilts, just that coming home feeling..means comfort to me. Great idea to reuse good shirts with life left in them

Nice little stack of fabric. Oh, lovely pastels. It will be interesting to how you transform it. Hey what am I doing responding at this hour? I woke up at three from an annoying(a little scary) dream that I tried to influence for awhile. When I finnaly got out of bed just befor 4 I realized that I could stop wasting time on that. So I tackled some paper messes and thought let's see what's happening on the blog. First I checked the world news and saw that we are poorer for the loss of Ted Kennedy.I'm aware that I have lots of feelings about this. I guess I need to sit quietly with this for awhile. Love,Mom

Oh, so pretty.....gonna be such nice quilts. Pat, glad you don't have to work today after losing all that sleep last night. So disconcerting to have dreams that carry over after you are awake.
