Ta da

I finished this peice today. The size is 8.5 by 11. It has a lot of errors but it still turned out cute......don't look too close. It looks better from far a Monet.

I heart GoodWill

Stopped in at the Goodwill store yesterday and come across this vintage (1977) quilting book. I thought I hit the freakin' jackpot. I kept looking around to make sure nobody would steal it from my cart.....hehe. 89 cents later I was the proud owner. Can you say BARGAIN!! Look how happy quilting can make a girl!

Cute placemats. OMG, I so remember those plates.

Curtain below would be great for a shower curtain.

Must steal ideas from pic it!

So awesome....whats old is new!

Somebody (MARY) needs a craft lesson......

PAPER TOLE or TOLLING(below) is the art of transforming a two-dimensional image - any drawing, painting, print or photo - into a three-dimensional image of great power and beauty. Between five and seven duplicates and the original are required to construct the tableau, which is then placed in a shadowbox frame.PAPER QUILLING (above) or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and the coil shaped, these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork.

Now don't be making such foolish mistakes again, missy.

Quilt Map

I like qulits and I like maps.....hmmmmm. The pic above was the only quilted map I could find thru a quick google search. Maybe I should make one.....omgoodness...there is so much to do!

Latest project

The top pic is going to be the background for this project. I had to make a paper template of the fence(second pic) so I could lay everything out before I sewed it to the background. The flowers for this project came from shirts I bought for 50 cents or a dollar at the thrift store.

So far.....

First finished project.

I met Kath at decorative last week and she helped me finish this mini replica of the big quilt I'm making.

Quilt show.

I went to quilt show on Thursday in Schaumburg. Wow, there was a lot of awesome, beautiful quilts to look at.....oh and to buy as well! My awesome husband gave me $100 to spend as I did I get so lucky! I didn't spend it all. Everything was really expensive but i did get a bunch of fat quarters. So yummy! Enjoy the follwing pretties.

I love the border on the quilt below.

Love the bright colors.

If you click on the photos, you can get a closer look of the quilts.
