Elgin books and coffee

I found the cutest used book store/coffee shop in downtown Elgin last week. I sat in the little nook in the front and worked on an art project sipping coffee.Its been a dream of mine to have something like this someday. Altho I'd like it to be a coffee/used books/ art/scrapbook/ whatever Chuck wants to sell (records?) store. I'd like to buy a big house(victorian?) on a main street in a smallish town. The main floor would be the store and kitchen area and upstairs would be our living area......The store could be my craft room! I can dream can't I? I don't know, I've done alot in my 44 years...maybe I/we could do this too.....

I loved this poncho....I used to pull it over my head and pretend I had long luxurious hair. Amy and Bart look so sweet. This was Bart's first communion day. Amy was rubbing her hands together thinking, "I can't wait til my first communion day....I'll save all the money I get for the rest of my life!!!"

Art / Daily Journal

I started an daily visual art journal about a month ago. Its really just about little day-to-day things. I like it because its small and I can drag it around with me from place to place. Then I can craft AT ALL TIMES! I also like it because I'm not worried about being neat. I get a little obsessive with my scrapbook LO's in terms of having to be perfect. Sweet Jack

Jackie made some binoculars and a hat at school. He then went on a treasure hunt/birdwatching expedition in the back yard. It was really hard not to wet myself laughing when he put that hat on! (Of course I hid my giggles from him.) Amy got it all on video tape too. We can't wait to torture him with it when he gets older! Enjoy! BTW hat made from coffee filter and 'nockers (as Grace used to call them) made from toilet paper rolls. Genius!

Dundee Farmers Market

Chuck and I went to a farmers Market this morn....I feel so GREEN today. We bought some baby asparagus (for dinner tonight) and a bunch of plants for our garden all grown in Marengo...about 60-70 miles from here. I'm excited to check out all the markets in the area this summer and to try and buy my produce local....Okay,calm down mom!!!! I know what you're thinking , "oh be still my beating heart!"

So my trainer, Jillian, from The Biggest Loser left that comment on the blog a few days ago..... She's scary.....I better get my *ss to the gym like she said! Waaaahhhh...I don't want to.....

Losin' it update....

So here's the story with the weight loss. I've lost 21 lbs to date.....I've been maintaining this loss give or take a pound since April 10. I feel really good (and Chuck says "you're hot"......and of course I say..."what I wasn't hot before?????"). Anyway, I still want to drop another 10-15 but I think I might stay at this weight for awhile and see what happens....I'll let ya know!!!
