I love my mess.....I want to be more organized but I just can't do it. I start to clean/straighten/organize and I end up finding something I forgot I had. I then commence to playing with found item.....and the clean up is over.
I don't make New Years resolutions...I think they're dumb.....why set yourself up for failure? How many people do you know who can say at the end of one year, they stuck to their resolution.....especially the ones about losing weight or working out more blah, blah blah..Anyway, I do want to lose some weight and I do want to work out more but I won't make it a resolution....I'll just try and do it.
Chuck drove with me down to Oswego yesterday to do a PPV then we worked our way back stopping at a few out of the way thrift stores. Didn't find any treasures, but enjoyed the search anyway. While in the car, I doodled a LO to pass the driving time.
We visited with Gramma Lu this afternoon. We had a nice time. She won't be making her famous chocolate chip cookies this year. She said she just can't stand for very long without feeling winded. She was as cheerful as ever though and we enjoyed our lunch together. We also talked about what we might do for her 90th next September. Any ideas?
Well, Chuck got crazy this weekend and bought a new vehicle. His van was about on its last leg, so he bought his dream truck. Its a Dodge Sprinter. Its very big. He's very, very happy....also, our driveway is very very full.
Went to Willow Creek's Christmas show last night....and boy what a show. There were acrobats flying through the air and all sorts of folks doing different songs and dances. It was quite the spectacle. They did manage to remind us throughout the performances that Jesus is the Reason for the season! CBS taped the performance and will be broadcasting it at 1030p on xmas eve and again at 6a xmas morn. DVR/tape it if you get a chance.....it was wild. Merry Christmas!
Mom's here for the holidays. I got her an early xmas present....a bag full of healthy foods. I did, of course, have an ulterior motive. I want her to make her famous and delicious green bean and potato salad while she's here and maybe her black bean soup. I was sure to get most of the ingredients for those two dishes. I think she thought it was a really good present.....she looks really happy in the photos! Now get cookin' woman!
We had this set in our house when we grew up....it once had more animals and also a manger to go with it. These have been long lost. Oh well, the main folks are still intact....Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.
Chuck is OBSESSED with building shelves for the house.....here's his latest project in the works....as you can tell, its as big as he is.....and no its not a coffin!!! altho he did think he was being funny when he laid down in it.
