We celebrated Jessica's 6th birthday on Saturday.Uncle Bart brought his horses...its hilarious to watch him give the kids rides up and down the block. People driving by just stare...you can tell they're a little confused about why a horse is in the front yard!....here's a few pix. Jessica was thrilled.
Our Aunt Bernice passed away on Saturday night after a long illness with lung cancer. All her children were by her side as she passed and they said she was peaceful. Aunt Bernice had been really sick the last 6 months and her awesome kids Kevin, Jean Marie, Dennis and Mary along with their spouses took 24/7 care of her. Her wake was last night and we'll be attending her funeral today. Please keep her family in your prayers.
This is a pic of the vent in the kitchen....I noticed the vines were creeping in yesterday. Chuck said "thats cool!" I say "if you haven't heard from us in while you might want to stop over and make sure we haven't been taken over by the vine monster that is our house."
Got outside to walk around the neighborhood yesterday. Took some pix of spring emerging...thank-you Jesus!! Its been a llllloooonnnngggggg winter.....even with 2 jaunts out of the country to warmer weather!
AAAARRRRRGGGG...I've been sick all this week with a respiratory thing..hacking, body aches, I'll spare you all the details. Anyway, finally was starting to feel somewhat human yesterday and altho had a huge coughing fit in the nighttime I feel like I may be at about 85-90% this am.......we'll see how the day goes. I haven't been back to the gym yet so i have no official weight. I think I'm still about the same which would be fine...its all about maintaining. Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things next week....Here's a pic of Bubbu-kitty.He kept me company while I was recuperating.
Got home late last night. Feeling better.....70%......still have cough and stuffy nose. My ears were plugged for a long time after we landed. Anyway, good to be home to Chuck...I missed you baby!....was good to sleep in my bed last night (instead of the hallway floor at the hotel!). Had a good time besides being sick. I'll try and post more pix later today or tomorrow.
Still feeling crappy this morn......if anyone from HomeFirst looks at the blog, let everyone know I'll be in mexico until Sunday...my phone has been ringing in the middle of the night, and they're the only ones who call at that hour. I'll check in later.
...but not from the food or water. Jess had some kind of bug last week and then Gracie brought it to Mexico with her. I've been down since yesterday morn with flu-like symptoms and respiratory crap. Started taking amoxicillin yesterday...its OTC here...just in case its bacterial. Feeling slightly better today. I told dad we have to stay a few more days since I'm missing all the funnin and sunnin...wwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. no new pix...I don't have the energy. Check back tomorrow. I guess if I have to be sick, I might as well be in paradise.....
In Mexico and the weather is fine! 85 degrees and climbing.....drinks by the pool and all the food you can stuff in your pie hole. I'm trying not to stuff too much....Worked out yesterday and a little bit today so I can enjoy all the different tastes. having fun with the kids. Dad snores really loud.....had to sleep on the floor in the hallway between the bedroom and the bathroom last night! Oh well. I'll post some pix hopefully later today. Adios!
....last weigh-in was March 19th...I was down 18.6 lbs. I haven't been to the gym since then for an official weight check. The last few weeks since I've been home from CR I've been walking or running outside. So, big day today...I'm going to the gym!....tune in later for an update!PS....I'm a little nervous.
....So I've been back to work everyday this week...no time to blog. Hopefully I'll be able to get to it this weekend. I haven't even spent any time in the craft room...wwwwwaaaahhhhh! Oh well, thats what happens when you're a world traveler .....here's a few more pix of the trip.....hopefully I'll get to explaining them soon.....still feeling the glow of Costa Rica, though!
